2019 Junior National Tournament

The TTBA kicked off its 2019 Junior National Badminton tournament at the National Racket Sports Center in Tacarigua, on June 15th. The tournament will be run over two weekends - June 15 &16 and 22 & 23. All semi-finals will be held on the 22 and finals on the 23rd.

SGCSA Masters open Tournament

The inaugural SGCSA. Masters Badminton open was held on Saturday February 23rd 2019 at the Southern Regional Indoor Arena and fielded a number of athletes from various clubs around Trinidad and Tobago. Athletes from Finns, Paragon, Shuttleforce, C.B.A.C, SGCSA, Apexx Badminton, La Joya and Oxford club competed fiercely in the 30+ and 45+ age categories vying for top singles and doubles titles. At the end of a day of keen competition the finalists took to the court.

The finalists were:
30+
singles - Sunil Ramadhar (Paragon) vs Navin Gayapersad (Finns)
doubles - Navin Gayapersad/Derek Singh (Finns/Paragon) vs Anita Mahadeo/Sunil Ramadhar (Shuttleforce/Paragon)
45+
singles - Sunil Ramadhar (Paragon) vs Christopher Joachim (Apexx Badminton)
doubles - Derek Singh/Naresh Bhola (Paragon/SGCSA) vs Deepak Dawar/Chris Mohan (Oxford).

The results were:
30+ singles -
Navin Gayapersad - 1st
Sunil Ramadhar - 2nd

30+ doubles -
Navin Gayapersad/ Derek Singh - 1st
Anita Mahadeo/Sunil Ramadhar - 2nd


45+ singles -
Christopher Joachim - 1st
Sunil Ramadhar - 2nd

45+ doubles -
Derek Singh/Naresh Bhola - 1st
Deepak Dawar/Chris Mohan - 2nd
